The Mater Foundation is the charitable arm of the Mater Hospitals and the Mater Medical Research Institute.
The Foundation aims to challenge, inspire and engage individuals and organisations alike in an effort to raise much needed funds for healthcare and medical research programs at the Mater.
Every year, the Mater Foundation delivers a host of fundraising activities including Lotteries, Events, and Direct Mail Appeals. The money raised from these fundraising initiatives help fund:
- The purchase of life-saving medical equipment;
- Ensure the Mater’s world-renowned research team continues to find better ways to diagnose, treat and ultimately cure life-threatening diseases; and
- Assist in supporting patients and families both financially and emotionally.
Being a charity, the Mater Foundation relies heavily on community, corporate and individual support and donations to help ensure the half a million babies, children and adults treated in the Mater Hospitals each year, have access to exceptional care.
