To mention everything we love about this property would take a three-volume book series, so we’ve listed the team’s favourite things about this Mater Prize Home. From its location to the luxury design, find out below what topped our list.
Not only is it the location perfect, the house has been designed to welcome in the view and engage with it. It has a gorgeous alfresco dining area that overlooks the pool and canal. Then there’s a lush backyard with a glass fence – ensuring you never miss out on the view.
Waterfront living in this stunning house means swimming in your own clear pool, waking up every morning with a glistening view, and hosting dinners in the outside dining area. And with a brand new BBQ outside, this sizzling lifestyle is very easy to fall in love with.
The architect behind the floorplan is a genius. When you’re inside, it feels as though the waterfront view funnels into the home. With an open dining and living area downstairs and a long corridor upstairs, the open plan keeps the view of the canal in sight.
The layout of the house is also ideal for the bustle of a busy family life and for entertaining friends and family. With the kitchen, dining and lounging areas connected, you can stay chatting no matter what you’re up to. And for the times someone needs some peace and quiet, there are cosy pockets of refuge like the media room or upstairs family room.
First of all, the bedroom itself is huge. It almost seems empty – even with a king bed, reading chair and TV all set up. Second is the walk-in wardrobe that appears it was made for a rock star. There’s plenty of space for his and hers, and the natural lighting makes it a really appealing space.
Opposite the wardrobe is the contemporary ensuite. Styled with bold and soft natural colours, and complemented with striking greenery, the ensuite draws you in warmly. It’s a comfortable place, not the sterile-white area that most modern homes have. And with a standalone bathtub and big shower, we’ve never seen anything like it – it’s truly a dream bathroom.
Lastly is our favourite part of the master suite: the private balcony. With a comfortable couch and a 200° view, you can start your day with a coffee by the view and end it watching the sunset – with its colours in the sky and reflecting on the canal.
The latest prize home in Hope Island is incredible, and so is the cause behind it. By supporting Mater’s cancer fundraising, you won’t just have the chance to win a home – you’ll be supporting patient care and innovative research to help the lives of those suffering from cancer.
